Adopt-A-Route (AAR) program

The Adopt-A-Route (AAR) program provides an excellent way for companies, civic and faith-based organizations to engage in community service. Through a partnership with Meals On Wheels of Tampa, groups offer their employees or member volunteers time to deliver mid-day meals. If you are interested in becoming a Meals On Wheels of Tampa Adopt-A-Route partner, please complete the form before or contact Lauren l.vance@mowtampa.org or call (813) 238-8410.  Watch this 3 minute video https://youtu.be/ayTe_9FU_MQ that highlights the AAR Program.

Together, We Can Transform a Community.

Why Get Involved?

Delivering meals together will help your employees build teamwork, improve cooperation and increase productivity in the workplace!

Improve Job Satisfaction

A study published by Deloitte shows that 78% of employees would rather work for an ethical and reputable company than recieve higher pay.

Skill Development

According to Deloitte, 91% of Fortune 500 HR managers said that “volunteering knowledge and expertise to a nonprofit can be an effective way to cultivate critical business and leadership skills,”such as project management, communication, goal-setting and evaluation.

Recruit & Engage Employees

PriceWaterhouseCoopers discovered that 88% of Millennials gravitated toward companies with pronounced Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) programs, and 86% would consider leaving if their employer’s CSR no longer met their expectations.

Connect with Your Community

Volunteer programs also help companies ingratiate themselves to their customers, who will see — and respect — a business’ efforts to improve the community.

How it works

By sponsoring teams of employees as Adopt-A-Route volunteer drivers, you can make a huge difference in a critical area of need! Your company will become a valuable partner in addressing this large community need.

  • Designate a AAR leader to coordinate scheduling. The leader will choose a route and pick up site closest to their location to deliver and they will also select a day (Monday -Friday) to deliver and frequency (once a week, once every other week or once a month) of delivery.

  • Engage teams of two for each day your team delivers.

  • Set up an orientation session. A MOW rep will provide one at your site or at our offices.

  • Begin to deliver!

Get started by completing the form below and by filling out a Volunteer Application today!
